"Sustainable Development" topic added to Jackson Hole Institute

A new topic, sustainable development, was part of the "Skill Building for Stronger Communities" training program in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in May. For several years this training program has featured a special topic such as Community Assessment or Diversity as a Community Development Tool. Twenty-one participants from 12 states gathered for the program. Each participant contributed a case study from his or her community development practice. These case studies were part of every day´s training and were used to merge the ideas, techniques and information from all the topics in the program. The case studies form an important part of the peer learning approach used in this annual event. Dates for next year´s program are May 15-18, 2002.
